That Fisnik Asllani is likely to leave TSG Hoffenheim this summer is no longer a big secret. Recently, however, the 23-year-old had repeatedly been linked with FC Barcelona or Borussia Dortmund>>>.

As "Kicker" and "BILD" consistently report, the Kosovan international is now on the verge of a transfer to RB Leipzig. The Saxony club is said to be triggering a release clause of 30 million euros.

This means coach Christian Ilzer and sporting director Andreas Schicker will likely lose their most coveted attacking player to a direct league rival. In Leipzig, the former loan player of Austria Wien would be a teammate of the two ÖFB national players Christoph Baumgartner and Nicolas Seiwald.

Leipzig prevails

Asllani played for Austria Wien in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga during the 2023/24 season and then returned to Hoffenheim after a successful spell at Elversberg. With strong performances, the attacker attracted the attention of several top clubs – and RB Leipzig now appears to have secured the deal.

However, the transfer will not happen quite so quickly. Currently, the "Red Bulls" already have two central strikers in their squad with Romulo and Conrad Harder. It is still unclear whether one of the two will leave the club or if Asllani will arrive as an additional reinforcement.
