Karim Adeyemi's move to FC Barcelona is likely to be officially completed soon, and he has already been bid farewell at Borussia Dortmund.
Transfer before announcement: BVB releases Adeyemi
His former coach Niko Kovac says: "We said goodbye to him. We truly wish him all the best if it works out – and we assume it will."
Adeyemi's speed will be missed by BVB
According to the 54-year-old, one particular strength of the ex-Salzburg player will be missed by the German Bundesliga club: "With his speed, you could open up one or two things. But we are working on it. We will diligently ensure that we adequately, and perhaps even better, replace the players who have left us. That will be difficult, but every club is working on that – including us."
Adeyemi brings good money to BVB. The club is expected to receive around 22 million euros in transfer fees, with potential bonuses of seven to nine million euros. In addition, the German Bundesliga club secured a high sell-on clause of 35 percent.
