Former Sturm attacker loaned out again
Erencan Yardimci failed to make a breakthrough at both SK Sturm and Hoffenheim. He is now being loaned to 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim is allowing Erencan Yardimci to move to the 2. Bundesliga.
As reported on Saturday, the 24-year-old striker will be loaned to 1. FC Kaiserslautern. However, the deal is also said to include an obligation to buy. It is not known when this comes into effect.
"The agreement reached with the Palatinate club includes the possibility that the attacker will permanently transfer to 1. FC Kaiserslautern at the end of the one-year loan spell," according to reports from Hoffenheim.
Could Become Kaiserslautern's Record Transfer
Kaiserslautern will initially pay a loan fee of 500,000 euros for Yardimci. The obligation to buy is reportedly set at five million euros. This would make the Turkish attacker the most expensive new signing in Kaiserslautern's club history.
Kaiserslautern Sporting Director Marcel Klos is delighted with the transfer: "With his speed, stamina, and intense style of play, Erencan fits our game very well and enriches our offense, giving us more flexibility."
No Breakthrough in Graz or Hoffenheim
Yardimci moved from Eyüpspor to TSG in 2024 for four million euros, but Andreas Schicker immediately arranged an onward loan to SK Sturm. With the Graz side, he was mostly a substitute, but he still contributed three goals in 14 appearances.
Consequently, he also failed to make a breakthrough at Hoffenheim. The Turk made only eight appearances for TSG's first team.
Last season, he was on loan at Eintracht Braunschweig, where he scored five goals in 31 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga.
