Real attacker apparently moves to the Premier League
The Spaniard's star rose at the 2025 Club World Cup. Now the "Royals'" academy product is moving to the British Isles.
Fulham FC is reportedly close to signing Real striker Gonzalo Garcia.
According to consistent media reports – including Fabrizio Romano reporting the deal as fixed – the "Cottagers" have agreed a transfer for the Spaniard with the "Royals".
The English club is expected to pay around 40 million euros for Garcia. Real Madrid has reportedly secured a buy-back clause to re-sign their academy product in the future if needed, as well as a 30 percent sell-on clause. Reunion with Arbeloa
At Fulham, Garcia will reunite with an old acquaintance: coach Alvaro Arbeloa previously worked with the attacker in Real Madrid's youth setup.
Earlier this year, Arbeloa had been promoted from B-team coach to head coach of the senior team after Xabi Alonso's dismissal, but had to leave the club again after the season ended.
In early July, the 49-year-old signed a three-year contract with Fulham, succeeding Marco Silva.
Garcia's star rose at the 2025 Club World Cup. He initially benefited from Kylian Mbappe's illness-related absence, starting in all matches and impressively seizing his chance. With four goals in six appearances, the youngster propelled himself into the spotlight.
Last season, he made 39 competitive appearances for the "Royals", contributing eight goals and three assists. Garcia mostly came off the bench.
Another Real Talent on the Horizon
However, Garcia might not be the only Real professional making his way to Fulham FC this summer.
Negotiations for attacking player César Palacios are also reportedly well advanced. While final details still need to be clarified, according to reports, an agreement is expected soon.
The transfer fee for the 21-year-old, who has so far made seven competitive appearances for the "Royals'" first team, is expected to be between eight and ten million euros.
Furthermore, Real Madrid would secure a 30 percent sell-on clause and a so-called Matching Right, which grants the Spaniards a say in any future sale offer.
