Confirmed! Former Glasner Protégé Joins Chelsea

Maxence Lacroix moves within London.

After two years at Crystal Palace, the French centre-back joins Chelsea FC. Reportedly, the "Blues" are paying 60.7 million euros for the 26-year-old, who signs until 2032.

At the 2026 World Cup, Oliver Glasner's long-time protégé made three appearances. Lacroix played under no other coach more frequently than under the Austrian. Glasner was on the sideline for 134 of his total 256 professional matches.

After Lacroix arrived from Wolfsburg, he made 98 appearances for Palace. With the "Eagles", he won the FA Cup, the Conference League, and the Community Shield.
