Will Nikolas Polster play in Germany soon?

As "Sky" reported, talks are already underway with Hertha BSC (all info >>>). The goalkeeper already stated at the end of last season that he wants to take the next step.

The interest from the Berlin club appears to be growing, as Helge Payer reveals to "Krone". "Yes, they really want him," says the ex-professional, whom Polster himself had described as "more than a mentor" some time ago.

Only half of the asking price?

According to Krone, WAC and Hertha are still far apart on the transfer fee.

While the "Wolves" are reportedly demanding around one million euros, Hertha is only willing to offer 500,000 euros. In addition, bonuses and sell-on clauses would be included.

Former Silberberger protégé as a possible replacement

As a possible replacement for Polster, the daily newspaper names Clemens Steinbauer. The 24-year-old currently guards Admira's goal and played 14 matches under current WAC coach Thomas Silberberger.
