Alajbegovic: Move to record champions imminent
A departure of the Bosnian to Serie A is now indeed on the cards. But it's not to Atalanta Bergamo.
Kerim Alajbegovic is on the verge of a move to Juventus Turin.
As reported by "Sky Sport", an agreement has been reached between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the Italian record champions. Accordingly, the former Salzburg player is set to move to the "Old Lady" for 33 million Euros. Including bonuses, the transfer fee could even rise to 40 million Euros.
The Bosnian international, who featured four times at the World Cup (one goal), only returned to Leverkusen this summer via a buy-back clause.
In the past season, Alajbegovic played for FC Red Bull Salzburg, where he contributed 13 goals and four assists in 44 games.
