Ex-Klagenfurt Keeper Helps Out German Bundesliga Club
The 27-year-old is participating in training as a guest player for now due to the club's shortage in the goalkeeper position.

As announced by the "Iron Ones" on Monday, the former SK Austria Klagenfurt goalkeeper will participate in training as a guest player for the German Bundesliga club for the time being and assist them in their sessions.
Menzel most recently stood between the posts for 1. FC Saarbrücken, but his contract there expired at the end of June. Between 2020 and 2024, the German played for SK Austria Klagenfurt in Austria.
Trimmel Misses Training Due to Illness
Because first-choice keeper Frederik Rönnow is only completing parts of team training after his longer injury break and reserve goalkeeper Matheo Raab is sitting out due to load management, there is a shortage in goal for the "Iron Ones".
Currently, new head coach Mauro Lustrinelli only has one fit goalkeeper available: 32-year-old Carl Klaus.
This potentially offers the 27-year-old Menzel opportunities to play in the upcoming friendly matches against Dynamo Dresden and Cagliari Calcio.
Several players could miss these matches. Among others, Austrian international Christopher Trimmel was absent from training on Monday due to illness. Andrej Ilić and Marvin Friedrich also had to sit out.
