FC Bayern Munich has secured a young midfield talent from Africa long-term; the German record champion signs Bara Sapoko Ndiaye permanently and provides him with a contract until 2031.

This was reported by "Sky" after sporting director Christoph Freund had already confirmed a breakthrough in negotiations. The 18-year-old was already on loan to the Isar from Gambino Stars, a Bayern cooperation club from Gambia, during the spring season.

Replacement for Goretzka?

The transfer fee is said to be between three and four million euros. In Munich, Ndiaye could take the place of Leon Goretzka, whose contract has expired. For now, a loan is also conceivable, but a decision regarding this does not seem to have been made yet.

During his loan spell in the last six months, the Senegalese already made four Bundesliga appearances, twice even starting in the first eleven. At the World Cup, he also played for his country and featured against the USA and Belgium.
