Will Philipp Lienhart leave SC Freiburg after almost ten years?

The central defender is said to have attracted interest from the Italian Serie A. As reported by "Tuttomercato", Lazio are reportedly looking into the Austrian.

However, the native of Lilienfeld is reportedly not the first choice. According to the report, Lazio have primarily set their sights on Kike Salas from FC Sevilla. Should a move for the Spaniard not materialize, Lienhart would be the primary alternative.

From Real to Freiburg

For the 30-year-old, the move would be a big step. He has spent almost his entire professional career in Freiburg so far.

In 2017, the 43-cap ÖFB international initially moved on loan from Real Madrid, where he had only one professional appearance, to Breisgau. A year later, the permanent move followed.

In total, Lienhart has made 258 appearances for SC Freiburg so far.
