Transfer? Real Madrid Met with Spanish World Champion
Rumours about Real Madrid's interest in Spain captain Rodri have been circulating for a while – now things are picking up pace.
Even before the World Cup, rumours circulated that Real Madrid was targeting Spain captain Rodri. Now, it seems things are really starting to move.
According to "Sky", a meeting took place on Tuesday between the player's representatives and Real Madrid. Among other things, a contract until 2030 was discussed.
Rodri, who was named the best player of the tournament at the 2026 World Cup, is still under contract with Manchester City until 2027.
It was recently suggested that the 30-year-old midfielder would only move to Madrid after his contract expired – a plan that the "Blancos" have now seemingly abandoned.
Rodri: Back Operation First
It is confirmed, however, that Rodri will undergo a back operation on Monday. This was confirmed by Enzo Maresca, the new coach of Manchester City.
When asked about a Rodri transfer, Maresca remained calm: "There are always speculations about big players, so I'm not worried about it."
A World Champion Transfer Already Confirmed
