Borussia Dortmund set for new record transfer
The deal for the 18-year-old could surpass Ousmane Dembele's previous record fee.
Borussia Dortmund is on the verge of a new record transfer.
According to several media reports, BVB has agreed with KRC Genk on a transfer for Konstantinos Karetsas.
The transfer fee for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder is reportedly just under 35 million euros, with bonus payments potentially increasing the sum.
The previous record signing was Ousmane Dembele, for whom Dortmund paid 35 million euros in 2016.
Greek International
Karetsas, who was born and developed in Genk, has already played 92 games for the team featuring Austrian internationals Tobias Lawal and Nikolas Satllberger despite his young age.
In his youth, he played for Belgium's youth national teams. However, for the senior national team, he opted for Greece. To date, he has played ten times for the 2004 European champions.
