In UEFA Conference League qualification, following a 3-1 away win against Andorran club FC Santa Coloma in the second round, they hold excellent prospects for the return leg (Wednesday, 8:30 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>). Should the Viennese qualify for the league phase, a broader squad could be assembled.

Talks with Swede

According to the Swedish medium "Sportbladet", the club is now in talks with Kevin Ackermann (25) for the central midfield.

The Swede is currently without a contract after a stint in the domestic top tier with Brommapojkarna. According to the report, other clubs, especially from Italy, are also interested alongside Rapid. However, the Viennese are the only club mentioned by name.

Ackermann is a one-time Swedish international, having made his sole appearance for the national team in January 2024 against Estonia.

Only Played in Sweden

In his professional career, he has played exclusively in Sweden, also featuring for BK Häcken and Örgryte IS.

He has accumulated 62 appearances in the Swedish top flight and 62 matches in the country's second division. The market value of the 1.78-meter tall player stands at 700,000 Euros, but due to his current situation, he would be available on a free transfer.
