Sangaré Delivers Millions to Rapid!
A sell-on clause negotiated by Markus Katzer is set to bring SK Rapid a significant sum of money soon – and make Mamadou Sangaré Rapid's new record sale.

The reason is a former player: Mamadou Sangaré is on the verge of a multi-million-euro transfer from RC Lens to the Premier League.

Another Six Million Euros for Rapid?
Rapid's Sporting Director Markus Katzer will also be pleased. He included a sell-on clause in the deal when Sangaré was sold in August 2025.
Should the transfer fee of 48 million euros prove true, a sell-on clause of around six million euros is expected to flow to Hütteldorf, according to "Sky".
Rapid Achieves New Transfer Record
A year ago, Rapid received a transfer fee of eight million euros for Sangaré's departure. This makes the midfielder from Mali the second most expensive departure in Rapid's club history to date.
Thanks to the sell-on clause, Sangaré could soon become Rapid's record sale. Currently, Isak Jansson still holds this title, for whom OGC Nice transferred ten million euros to Vienna last year.
After adding the sell-on clause, Sangaré could ultimately bring Rapid around 14 million euros.
Will the Sum Increase Further?
It's quite possible that this sum could even increase. Crystal Palace is reportedly another Premier League club vying for the 24-year-old midfielder. A potential bidding war, which could drive the transfer fee even higher, is expected.
