SK Rapid: Why Romeo Amane will also miss the UECL second leg
The Hütteldorfer's hottest transfer prospect was already absent from the ÖFB Cup. The reason for his absence:
SK Rapid has already played its first two competitive matches.
On Wednesday (from 8:30 PM in the LIVE ticker) the first home match of the season will follow. The Hütteldorfer want to cement their 3-1 victory against Santa Coloma in the second leg of the second Conference League qualifying round.
One player who will not be participating is Romeo Amane. This is reported by the "KURIER". The Ivorian was already absent last Sunday during the 3-0 victory against Wienerberg in the UNIQA ÖFB Cup.
How Katzer explains the absence
At the press conference before the clash with the Andorrans, sporting director Markus Katzer explains:
"However, the reason was not that we are close to a transfer. I want to state that very clearly and distinctly."
According to "KURIER", Amane twisted his ankle in the first leg in Andorra. He could be back on the pitch for the Bundesliga opener against SCR Altach.
