Ipswich Town Signs Morocco's World Cup Hero
With his late 1-1 equalizer, Issa Diop secured the round of 16 for Morocco.
Issa Diop is reportedly set to move from Fulham to Ipswich Town, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Romano announced via "X" that both the player and the two clubs are said to have reached an oral agreement worth 10 million euros.
Moroccan's Late Decision
Issa Diop only decided late against playing for the French national team and opted for Morocco instead. Therefore, the center-back has only played nine times for the Moroccan national team, five of which were at the 2026 World Cup.
The 1.94-meter tall player scored his only goal for Morocco against the Netherlands, where he rescued his team into extra time with a header in stoppage time.
