Is Patrick Pentz's time at Brøndby IF coming to an end after three years?
The Austrian international goalkeeper could leave the Danish club, as Thomas Bernsten, Brøndby's Head of Recruitment, explained to "NRK":
"We had our goalkeeper Patrick Pentz with us at the World Cup. It is possible that he will be sold this summer."
Pentz Open to "New Challenge"
Pentz's contract with the Danish top-flight club runs until summer 2028. The goalkeeper himself recently left his future open: "I'm 29, let's see when the next challenge comes," Pentz is quoted by "Krone".
Brøndby, in any case, already appears to be looking for a replacement for the Austrian international goalkeeper. As Bernsten confirmed, they have already held extensive talks with the entourage of Örjan Nyland. He impressed with Norway at the World Cup.
Therefore, Brøndby no longer believes that signing the currently unattached Nyland is realistic.
Pentz was established as Brøndby's first-choice goalkeeper last season. At the World Cup, he had to yield to Alexander Schlager in the Austrian goal and remained without an appearance.
