Done Deal! PL Club Unveils Austrian as Assistant Coach
The former Wacker captain moves from Saudi Arabia to the Premier League, following Matthias Jaissle to the island.
Newcastle United will have an Austrian in its coaching team going forward.
Following the unveiling of Matthias Jaissle, the club announced its new staff. Tyrolean Alexander Hauser is back on board.
In 2024, a year after Jaissle's appointment, he followed him from FC Red Bull Salzburg to Al Ahli, where the duo jointly won the Asian Champions League twice in a row.
Old Salzburg Team Stays Together
Assistant coach Engin Yanova also follows Jaissle to Newcastle United. Also joining is Florens Koch, the German worked with Hauser and Jaissle in Salzburg before moving to Saudi Arabia in January 2026.
Analysts Maximilian Fischer and Steffen Konrad also remain part of Jaissle's team; they also worked with the German in Salzburg.
Goalkeeping coach Alexander Bade also makes the move from Al Ahli; the German was Sports Coordinator at Austria Wien between 2019 and 2021. For the 2020/21 season, he worked as a goalkeeping coach under Peter Stöger.
