Austrian becomes new Regensburg captain after just one year
The Salzburg native takes over the captaincy at the third-tier club, having only joined a year ago.
SSV Jahn Regensburg will be led by an Austrian in the future.
Felix Strauss (25) is taking over the captaincy at the third-tier club after one year with the team. In the past season, the then-newcomer (from Spartak Warna) was already part of the club's team council.
He is now taking over the captaincy from Christian Kühlwetter, who joined 1. FC Saarbrücken.
Played Bundesliga for Altach
Felix Strauss made his breakthrough in professional football in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga with Blau-Weiß Linz. After winning the championship title without promotion in 2021, he moved to SCR Altach in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga.
Before his move to Regensburg, he played in Finland for FC Lahti and in Bulgaria (Spartak Warna).
