Ex-Salzburg Player on Brink of Signing for Jaissle's Newcastle

Matthias Jaissle recently took over Newcastle United alongside his Tyrolean assistant coach Alexander Hauser.

Now, apparently, a player whom the two know from Salzburg is coming to the Premier League. According to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, Zell am See-born Amar Dedic (23) from Benfica Lisbon has agreed terms with the English club. The clubs are in advanced negotiations. A sum between 30 and 35 million euros is reportedly involved.

Shone under Mourinho

Dedic and Jaissle worked together at Red Bull Salzburg and previously at cooperation club FC Liefering.

Now, the next step awaits the 31-cap Bosnian international. Last season, he impressed in Lisbon under Real coach Jose Mourinho.
