In the summer of 2025, Manuel Pfeifer (26) made the move from TSV Hartberg to Germany's 3. Liga with TSV 1860 München.

Following the financial chaos and subsequent forced relegation, the Hartberg native's professional contract is no longer valid. He was anything but thrilled about the club's conduct, as he revealed to "kicker".

Criticism of 1860

"We players learned everything through the media; no sporting director, no president spoke with us, we didn't receive any message in any WhatsApp group. I was sitting in the hotel with my girlfriend when the bombshell dropped," said the left-back.

Even afterwards, no one contacted them. "That, I have to say, was truly substandard," he stated frankly.

Offers Rejected

Pfeifer has not yet found a new club. "So far, nothing has been the right fit; I've already turned down a few offers," he revealed.

However, the defender stated that he didn't go abroad just to return after a year. Nevertheless, he is generally open to possibilities.

"I still have goals and dreams, but there are currently no inquiries from those leagues. I don't see myself in an exotic league yet; I'm not at an age where that might become interesting," said Pfeifer.

Few Words on Hartberg Return

Regarding a possible return to his home club Hartberg and former coach Schopp, he commented only with these words: "I value him and am grateful for what he made possible for me and also taught me. Without him, I wouldn't have come this far. But I don't want to say more about that."

In Munich, he played 19 competitive matches. Where he will play next season remains to be seen.
