Confirmed! HSV sells talent to France
The Hamburg homegrown talent moves to Strasbourg. The sale is a lucrative one for the Bundesliga club.
Fábio Baldé is moving to RC Strasbourg!
The Portuguese (21) comes from Hamburg's own youth academy. Last season, the winger caught attention with strong performances in the Bundesliga.
The French club is paying seven million euros for Baldé. According to several media reports, bonuses could be added. The 21-year-old is signing a contract with Strasbourg until 2031.
Most Expensive Departure in Five Years
Baldé's sale underscores HSV's transfer philosophy, explained Sports Director Kathleen Krüger: "Fabio's journey from our youth performance center to international football is a great story for all involved and may well be just the beginning for the coming years."
Since 2021, no one has brought in as much money for Hamburg. Amadou Onana, who moved to Lille at the time, brought in 13.6 million euros, including HSV's share of the transfer.
