Karlsruher SC continues to push forward with squad planning for the current season.

They recently signed Sandro Trémoulet, a promising defender who also attracted interest in Austria (read more >>>), but another new arrival is also on the horizon in attack.

According to the Dutch football magazine "Voetbal International", the Karlsruhe club has set its sights on Dean Zandbergen from VVV Venlo. First talks with the captain and top scorer of the Dutch second-division side are said to have already taken place.

15 Goals Last Season

The 24-year-old centre-forward is reportedly keen on a move to the 2. Bundesliga.

With 15 goals, Zandbergen was his team's top scorer last season. He impressively demonstrated that he hasn't lost his nose for goal with a brace at the start of the new season.

There has reportedly been no contact yet between KSC and his current employer. According to the report, Zandbergen will definitely still play for VVV Venlo in Friday's match against NAC Breda. His contract with the Dutch second-division side runs until 2027.
