Romano Schmid's move from Werder Bremen to Italian top-flight club Frosinone Calcio is imminent (All info>>>).

Although the deal is not yet officially finalized, nothing should stand in the way of a transfer.

The ÖFB national team player himself has already publicly bid farewell to his club and the Werder fans. An ÖFB player leaving his current club could move to the Weser as a replacement for Schmid (More info>>>).

"I grew as a person here"

"Servus Bremen, when I came here from Austria back then, I wouldn't have imagined that it would turn into seven and a half years and almost 150 Bundesliga games. I am all the prouder today to be able to look back like this," writes the midfielder.

"I became a father of two here, grew as a person, and was allowed to call Bremen my home. For that, I am incredibly grateful. I am already looking forward to visiting again soon and hearing the foghorn. Thanks for everything. Good luck for the season," the 26-year-old continued.
