FC Bayern has made a decision regarding the future of Board Member for Sport Max Eberl and Sporting Director Christoph Freund. This is reported by "Sport Bild".

As the magazine's report indicates, the contracts of the sporting leadership duo, which expire in one year, are to be extended. The club is said to have decided this internally.

Eberl's future, in particular, had long been unclear, but honorary president and supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß recently put the likelihood of the 52-year-old remaining at "100 percent" and attested to a "perfect transfer period" for him.

CEO Dreesen also set to stay

With Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, FC Bayern made two important signings early in the summer transfer window and sold fringe players for around 37 million euros.

In addition to Eberl and Freund, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is also set to stay. According to the report, the duration of the new employment contracts is still open, but Freund, in particular, is to be tied to Säbener Straße long-term.

Since the Austrian's personnel matter – unlike those of Eberl and Dreesen – is not subject to the Supervisory Board, no AG (stock corporation) deadlines apply here.
