Breakthrough! Posch's Future Likely Settled
The speculation surrounding the ÖFB defender's sporting future is likely to end.
1. FSV Mainz 05 and Como 1907 appear to have reached an agreement in the negotiations for Stefan Posch.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, the Bundesliga club is said to have achieved a breakthrough in negotiations with the prestigious club led by star coach Cesc Fabregas.
Most recently, Como is said to have demanded a transfer fee of 6.4 million Euros for the services of the 56-capped ÖFB international.
Posch, who already played for the "Carnival Club" on loan in the second half of the 2025/26 season, would, after his time at TSG Hoffenheim (2017-2022 with the first team), take up his second permanent spell in the German Bundesliga.
