Inter Milan on the verge of signing England defender
The 25-year-old could join a national team colleague who recently arrived at the Nerazzurri.
Inter Milan are reportedly close to signing Djed Spence.
This is according to "Gazzetta dello Sport". The right-back is set to move from Tottenham Hotspur to Milan, where he is expected to replace Denzel Dumfries, who joined Real Madrid.
The parties involved have reportedly neared an agreement, with a transfer fee of 30 million euros plus bonuses expected for Spence.
Diaby was also reportedly an option
Moussa Diaby was also reportedly an option for the vacant position, but negotiations with his club Al-Ittihad proved difficult. Furthermore, Diaby earns very well in the United Arab Emirates. This also favoured a decision in Spence's favour.
The English international is expected to sign a four-year contract with Inter. In Milan, he would meet a World Cup colleague: centre-back John Stones recently signed for Inter.
