Is David Alaba heading to Italy?
After his departure from Real Madrid, the Austrian national team captain is looking for a club. Could he be heading to Italy?
Is David Alaba moving to Serie A?
Since his departure from Real Madrid in the summer, the captain of the Austrian national team has been looking for a new challenge.
As is now being speculated in Italy, two major clubs are reportedly interested in Alaba.
Alaba in Turin soon?
According to "Gazzetta dello Sport" and "Tuttosport", Juventus Turin is reportedly considering signing Alaba. The 34-year-old would apparently fit perfectly into the desired player profile – technically skilled and left-footed.
However, Alaba is not said to be the first choice; the Turin club's officials want to sign Jhon Lucumi from league rival Bologna. Furthermore, Juventus is reportedly also looking into Jean-Clair Todibo, who is currently under contract with West Ham United.
Why has the interest not been further pursued? Concerns are likely to stem primarily from Alaba's injury history.
Besides the Italian record champion, AC Milan is also said to be interested in the Austrian.
