Andreas Weimann has found a new club.

The 26-time Austrian international returns to England and joins fourth-tier club Cheltenham Town. The club did not provide details on the contract length.

Weimann was last in action on loan for SK Rapid in the spring, making 15 Bundesliga appearances for the Hütteldorfers. After the loan spell ended, the attacker was not signed permanently. His contract with parent club Derby County subsequently expired and was not extended.

Now, the 35-year-old will continue his career in England's League Two.

"Brings Quality to Our Squad"

Manager Steve Cotterill expressed his delight at the signing of the attacker: "Andreas brings proven quality to our squad. He has consistently played at a high level throughout his career and has also performed well for his country."

"He possesses some outstanding qualities, and we are confident he will complement our attacking options well. I am looking forward to having him in our team next season," he added.

"I am very pleased that the move worked out and I can't wait to get started. I had very good conversations with the manager, I am excited about what lies ahead and I want to help the team as much as possible," said Weimann on his return to England.
