Goal Fest! Chelsea Knocks Leeds Out of EFL Cup – Muharemovic Scores
Former WAC player Tarik Muharemovic gives Leeds the lead at Stamford Bridge. The "Blues" turn the game around in the second half, which delivers a staggering eight goals.
Chelsea prevails in an entertaining 6-3 victory over Leeds United in the third round of the EFL Cup.

After an uneventful opening phase, fans are treated to quite a spectacle: Former WAC defender Tarik Muharemovic, who transferred to Leeds this summer for 37 million euros, gives the visitors a 1-0 lead with a header from a corner (23'). It is his debut goal for the new club.
Chances follow on both sides, but it's only in the second half that fans get to celebrate goals.
Plenty of Goals After the Break
A staggering eight goals are scored after the break. First, former Salzburg player Brenden Aaronson puts Leeds 2-0 up (48').
Subsequently, substitute Cole Palmer equalizes at 2-2 with a brace (52'/penalty, 55'). Pedro Neto (60'), also a second-half substitute, and Danny Welbeck (65') extend the lead to 4-2.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin reduces the deficit to 3-4, giving Leeds renewed hope (75'). However, Valentin Barco (80') scores what proves to be the decisive goal, and Welbeck seals the 6-3 final score with a fortunate strike (90'+4).
