Turkish Club Reportedly Interested in Rapid Defender
Rapid is said to be open to talks but is expected to demand a multi-million fee for the centre-back.
Samsunspor is reportedly showing interest in Nenad Cvetkovic of SK Rapid.
Peter Linden reports this in his blog. Accordingly, the fan favorite could leave Hütteldorf if the seventh-placed team of last year's Süper Lig season agrees to pay a sum in the millions. Cvetkovic still has a contract with Rapid until summer 2028.
The Green-Whites have already done business with Samsunspor in the past. Ercan Kara was first loaned by the Turkish club and then permanently sold to Rapid for 350,000 euros.
Samsunspor currently has someone with Bundesliga ties on the coaching bench. Thorsten Fink was head coach at Austria Wien from 2015 to 2018.
