Confirmed! Sturm Graz offloads national player
The Graz club announces the departure of a midfielder to Belgium.
It's official! Ryan Fosso (24) is moving from Sturm Graz to Standard Liège in Belgium.
Following the announcement by head coach Fabio Ingolitsch, the vice-champions have also officially confirmed the transfer.
The Cameroon international only joined Graz in winter from Fortuna Sittard (Netherlands) and made 20 appearances for the club.
Fosso's transfer request
"Ryan Fosso came to us in Graz in winter and immediately took on an important role in our team in the spring. Now Ryan has approached us with a desire for a change to secure the chance for even more playing time. Ryan is a model professional and an absolute team player, which is why we have granted his transfer request and reached a good agreement with Standard Liège," said sporting director Michael Parensen.
The player himself stated: "Even though my time in Graz was short, I felt extremely comfortable in the city and at the club and always gave my all for SK Sturm. Now I want to take on a new challenge and present myself in the best possible way to remain in the national team's focus."
The midfielder signs a three-year contract in Belgium.
