The "Bulls" make a loan move for the German Bundesliga club's player.
Red Bull Salzburg is pressing ahead with its squad planning!
On Friday evening, the "Bulls" presented Umut Tohumcu as their latest new signing. The 22-year-old German-Turk comes on loan from TSG Hoffenheim to the city of Mozart.
The midfielder made his debut in the German Bundesliga in May 2022. Since then, he has made 56 appearances for TSG. In the past six months, he was on loan to Holstein Kiel.
Statements from Mann and Tohumcu
"Umut is a technically and tactically well-trained player who can take on both defensive and offensive roles in central midfield. Despite his young age, he has already played numerous professional games, so he won't need a long adaptation period and can already be a real alternative for us in the upcoming matches," sporting director Marcus Mann is quoted as saying.
Tohumcu comments as follows: "I know FC Red Bull Salzburg as quite a big club that always competes for the title in the championship and also plays a role at an international level. I want to be fully involved there, help out and also learn. For that, I will invest everything and give my best."
