Austria Wien is being linked with a potential new signing for the right wing-back position.

According to reports from the Azerbaijani medium "Azerisport", the "Violets" are looking into Dani Bolt.

The 27-year-old Brazilian has been under contract with Azerbaijani record champions FK Qarabag Agdam since 2025.

Offensive Right-Back

Bolt is considered an extremely offensively-minded right-back and would therefore fit well into the playing system of Austria coach Stephan Helm.

The Viennese club preferably operates with a back five and offensive wing-backs, which would allow the Brazilian to optimally leverage his strengths on the right side.

Although veteran Reinhold Ranftl is currently a regular in this position, Bolt could already be developed as a long-term prospect. Ranftl's contract with Austria runs until 2027.

Champions League Experience with Qarabag

With Qarabag, Bolt also attracted international attention last season. The Azerbaijani serial champions caused a stir as underdogs by surviving the UEFA Champions League league phase.

However, the Brazilian was not always a first-choice player. Especially in important matches, he often had to cede his right-back spot to his compatriot Matheus Silva.

Contract Until 2028

Whether the move to Vienna can actually materialize remains to be seen. Bolt still has a running contract with Qarabag until 2028. His current market value is estimated at around one million euros.
