Trouble is brewing at WAC regarding the situation of Thierno Ballo.

Following his return from a loan spell with English club FC Millwall, the one-time ÖFB international has no sporting future in Lavanttal.

While head coach Thomas Silberberger had already hinted at a move abroad, the matter could now become unpleasant.

Ballo is not allowed to travel to the training camp, and his agent has involved the "VdF".

"VdF" Announces Action

Speaking to "Krone", Ballo's manager Peter Huemerlehner said about his client's exclusion from the training camp in Maria Alm (Salzburg) on Monday: "Thierno was informed by the highest authority that he would not be joining."

Huemerlehner then contacted the union. Its boss, Gernot Baumgartner, also commented on Ballo's case - and announced measures.

"According to the collective bargaining agreement, Ballo is entitled to team training commensurate with his performance level. We will hold talks with WAC. If there is understanding, that's fine. If not, we will have to take other measures."

The 24-year-old attacker actually has a contract in Wolfsberg until summer 2027. WAC wants to get the former Chelsea youth player off their payroll. For FC Millwall last season, he made 35 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing seven assists.
