Maximilian Uhlig remains head coach of the Young Violets!

On Thursday, the Violets announced that the promotion-winning coach will also be on the sidelines for the 2026/27 season. It is his fourth season as coach of the Young Violets and his eleventh with the club.

After a brief stint at Stripfing, the 33-year-old took over the Violets for the 2024/25 season and led them from the Regionalliga Ost to the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, where they finished eighth last season as clearly the best reserve team.

Uhlig's entire coaching staff will also remain on board. This includes assistant coaches Michael Walker and Thomas Salamon, as well as sports scientist Bastian Bauer and goalkeeping coach Fabian Zolles.

New Talents

Alongside Willi Vorsager, who extended his contract as an anchor player for two years, and Marco Hausjell, who signed with the second-division club until 2028, U17 Vice World Champion Florian Hofmann, a great talent, is joining Vienna.

Lars Stöckl and Julian Roider, two existing squad players, have had their contracts extended. Additionally, some new faces from the Violets' youth academy are joining, namely Tomy Baotic (18), Devran Gündük (18) and Illia Menshykov (18).

Two more talents, Bruno Jerabek and Noel Polonkai, have also been signed long-term.
