With Hasenhüttl and Affengruber: Wacker presents coaching staff
At the Tyrolean club, head coach Sebastian Siller will henceforth be supported by a former assistant coach of VfL Wolfsburg.
Newly promoted second-tier side Wacker Innsbruck presents its coaching staff for the upcoming season.
As the promoted club announced on Thursday, two new assistants will join the club and will support Sebastian Siller, who has been head coach in Innsbruck since 2023.
Hasenhüttl returns to Austria
With Patrick Hasenhüttl, a long-serving Germany-based player returns to Austria. The 29-year-old ended his career in 2024 and subsequently served as assistant coach under his father Ralph Hasenhüttl at VfL Wolfsburg.
After his departure from the "Wolves" in May 2025, he was without a club. Now, he replaces Fabian Lantschner in Wacker Innsbruck's support staff.
Also new to the Tyrolean coaching staff is goalkeeping coach David Affengruber (34), who has already gained experience in this role in the 2. Liga with SV Horn. The coaching staff is completed by video analyst Mathias Voppichler and athletic trainer Marco Wegscheider.
