Daniel Tschofenig also wins the second competition at the Summer Grand Prix in Courchevel.

The Carinthian triumphed on the 2030 Olympic hill, just like on Saturday, ahead of German Olympic champion Philipp Raimund (-1.2 points). Stefan Kraft, another Austrian, also secured a podium spot (-5.6 points).

Tschofenig holds his own against Raimund

Tschofenig successfully defended his halftime lead, countering a 132.5-meter jump from Raimund in slightly worse wind conditions with 128.5 meters and excellent style marks.

Kraft, in turn, displaced compatriot Maximilian Ortner from the podium, with the Carinthian once again having to settle for fourth place. Jonas Schuster (6th) and Stephan Embacher (9th) rounded off another strong ÖSV result. Jan Hörl also finished 14th.

Scare in the women's competition

In the women's competition, Julia Mühlbacher finished ninth, and Hannah Wiegele placed 19th. Victory went to the previous day's runner-up, Yuki Ito from Japan, ahead of Selina Freitag (GER) and Ping Zeng (CHN).

Meanwhile, double Olympic champion Anna Odine Stroem caused a moment of fright. The Norwegian crashed spectacularly in the first round after a 130-meter jump, rolling multiple times and even being hit by her own ski.

However, the Saturday's winner was lucky despite the misfortune and escaped with only an elbow wound.

The next stop of the Summer Grand Prix is Rasnov, Romania. Two individual competitions for men and women will take place there on September 19th and 20th.
