Prevc Siblings Beaten at National Championships
Both Domen and Nika Prevc fail to defend their titles. However, both manage to reach the podium.
Surprise in the Slovenian ski jumping camp!
At the Slovenian National Championships in Kranj, Nika and Domen Prevc were beaten by the competition.
The overall World Cup winner finished second behind Anze Lanisek, who soared to 106 and 110 meters. He was 7.8 points shy of victory after jumps of 103.5 and 106.5. Timi Zajc rounded out the podium.
Nika Prevc struggles with scores
His sister fared similarly. She was beaten by Ema Klinec and Nika Vodan, finishing in third place.
While Prevc's distances of 101.5 and 106.5 meters were unmatched, she lost valuable points due to her style scores. Thus, she fell short of triumph by 7.6 points.
Her title defense was therefore unsuccessful. Nika Prevc had won for the past two years.
