Austrian Star Changes Clubs within Switzerland
Bernd Wolf leaves Kloten and will join a league rival at the end of the season.
Austrian national team player Bernd Wolf will change clubs at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old Viennese will leave EHC Kloten and join EV Zug. The defenseman signs a three-year contract there.
Wolf has been playing in Switzerland since 2020 and was also developed at SC Bern. He played for HC Lugano for four seasons before moving to Kloten. He is now embarking on his third professional club stint within Switzerland.
Sports director Ted Suihkonen says: "Bernd is a mobile, intelligent, and strong-willed defenseman who consistently performs well in the National League. Bernd's character on and off the ice fits very well with the identity we are currently building at EVZ."
