Domen Prevc will compete with a new helmet sponsor next season.

The Slovenian will be a Red Bull athlete in the future. The dominator of last winter looks back primarily at his role models Thomas Morgenstern and Gregor Schlierenzauer.

"Those guys with the Red Bull helmet, they were just really good. You know, the guys who wear a Red Bull helmet are simply the best there are," Prevc said in an interview with "skispringen.com".

The 27-year-old will thus become part of the Red Bull family, which also includes Austrians Daniel Tschofenig and Stephan Embacher.

The Slovenian has already been fully welcomed: "Once you start working with them, there are no limits. They offer you everything they can. If they are truly on your side, it doesn't matter what happens - they really try to help you."

Deal already planned last year

A deal with the Austrian brand was already discussed last year, the 27-year-old reports: "We wanted to join last year, but we had a contract with Gorenje. Gorenje is gone now because Hisense are the owners of Gorenje and they have a different policy today than they used to," Prevc explains.

The Slovenian will sit on the bar with his new headgear for the first time at the World Cup opener in Lillehammer from November 20 to 22.

For the World Championship winter, Prevc once again aims to compete for top positions: "If we talk about results, I want to jump into the top ten at the beginning. If the results are stable, I can aim for the top three from there. And that every weekend. That is the main goal."
