"A successful landing in a new era" - with these words, Van Deer welcomes Japanese ski jumping star Ryoyu Kobayashi.

The 29-year-old made his debut on his new skis at the Summer Grand Prix final in Klingenthal. Alongside athletes like Daniel Tschofenig and Andreas Wellinger, the two-time overall World Cup winner and Olympic champion from Sapporo will also be competing on Van Deer equipment over the World Cup hills in the future.

World Championship Gold: The Missing Puzzle Piece

"When personality meets performance potential, the perfect foundation is created for Marcel Hirscher's athlete roster at VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports. And Ryoyu has long proven that he is an athlete whose influence extends far beyond the boundaries of ski jumping," the Japanese star is praised on the ski brand's website.

With his new equipment, Kobayashi aims to add another milestone to his impressive collection of achievements: World Championship gold in the individual event at a Nordic Ski World Championship.

In February 2027, the Japanese will have the next opportunity in Falun, Sweden, to win this still missing title.

The World Cup season opener takes place from November 20-22 in Lillehammer. There, the Japanese hopes to make his mark for the first time with his new Van Deer equipment.
