Following announced boycotts by several federations, a proposal comes from Russia:

According to its own statements, the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) is currently considering the option of returning the World Championship.
"No problem at all"
Russian Svetlana Zhurova, a former speed skater and currently a deputy of the Russian Duma, is now attracting attention with a proposal.
"We are ready at any time. Although preparations for a World Championship take longer than for other tournaments, this is no problem at all for our country," the former professional athlete brings Russia into play as a host for the 2027 Ice Hockey World Championship. The Czech news portal "Blesk.cz" reports on this.
"The problem is that other countries could boycott us and stir up unrest with statements that they will not come to us. Nevertheless, in the event of a German cancellation, we could offer to host, even though, for example, the United States could of course also apply," says Zhurova.
