At the Presidents' Conference, the 38-year-old was unanimously elected to office.
Jan Überall is the new Secretary General of Ski Austria.
The 38-year-old was unanimously elected to office at the Presidents' Conference and will succeed Christian Scherer on September 1, 2026. As Chairman of the Board of Directors, he will take over the operational management of the ÖSV.
Scherer is leaving the national ski association after six years and will take on a new role in the management of the HTI Group starting this autumn.
Years of Leadership Experience
Überall, from Kitzbühel, has many years of leadership experience in both national and international skiing.
After studying sports science at the University of Innsbruck, he began his career at the Kitzbühel Ski Club, where he has served as Secretary General since 2015.
Since 2024, as managing director of the Hahnenkamm Races, he has also been responsible for the organizational and economic development of one of the world's most prestigious winter sports events.
Through his functions in various FIS committees and his role as Vice President of Club 5 – the association of leading alpine World Cup organizers – he possesses a broad international network and in-depth knowledge of the structures and market mechanisms of skiing.
