Is a comeback getting closer? Hirscher back on snow
The ski star has taken another step towards a comeback in the Netherlands.
The next step towards a possible World Cup comeback has been taken by Marcel Hirscher.
After eight months without skiing, the 37-year-old has returned to the slopes. The eight-time overall World Cup winner posted his return to snow on Instagram. He made his first turns in an indoor ski hall near Zoetermeer in the Netherlands.
Comeback with a Wildcard?
Hirscher suffered an ACL tear in training at the end of 2024 and has not competed in any races for the Netherlands since then.
Whether and when Hirscher could make a comeback is still uncertain and also depends on a decision by FIS, which will discuss this topic, among others, in two weeks.
