For four years, Henrik Kristoffersen competed in the Alpine Ski World Cup with Marcel Hirscher's Van Deer skis – during this time, Kristoffersen became Slalom World Champion and won the small Slalom Crystal Globe in 2025.

This year, however, the now 32-year-old Norwegian embarked on a new adventure: Head has snapped up the ski star.

"We agreed that he would test our equipment after the World Cup final and see how it goes," says Head racing boss Rainer Salzgeber, who also explained that there had already been loose contact during the past season, in an interview with "Krone".

"That's what we did, and after four days of testing, Henrik was sure it was a good fit," Salzgeber added.

Equipment Swearing? "You have to know the whole story"

"If the opportunity arises to sign an athlete like Henrik Kristoffersen because he simply has a different idea of his equipment situation, then that's something special," Salzgeber says, looking forward to the challenge.

It's well known that the Norwegian is also known for occasionally cursing his equipment.

"That's true. But you have to know the whole story there. It takes a certain amount of time for Henrik to really say something," Salzgeber is aware. He knows: "He's a very extreme guy. Everyone knows that, and I think that's brilliant."

Kristoffersen's New Serviceman Was Recently With Meillard

"What I really like about Henrik is the passion he has for skiing. That's always evident in the reactions he sometimes shows," says the Head racing boss.

Kristoffersen's new serviceman at Head will be Niclas Cronsell, by the way. The Swede worked for many years at Rossignol. Most recently, he was responsible for the skis of Slalom World Champion and Olympic gold medalist Loic Meillard.
