The organizers of the Ski World Cup races in Adelboden have announced a significant expansion of the number of grandstand seats for spectators.

In fact, renovation work is set to create 600 additional grandstand seats for the World Cup races taking place in early January 2027. Last year, the grandstands in Adelboden offered space for around 6,000 spectators.

However, the overall capacity for admitted spectators at Chuenisbärgli is not expected to change. "Because in Adelboden, quality over quantity still applies," explains Ski-Weltcup Adelboden AG in a statement.

For the giant slalom on Saturday (January 9), 25,000 fans remain admitted, as in previous years, and for the slalom on Sunday (January 10), 15,000 fans.
