Sinja Kraus Outplayed in Porto Semi-Final
The 24-year-old Viennese misses out on reaching the final of the WTA 125 hardcourt tournament.
For ÖTV player Sinja Kraus, the journey at the W125 hardcourt Challenger in Porto ends in the semi-finals.
Against 21-year-old American Reese Brantmeier (WTA-385.), she suffered a very clear defeat on Saturday. After 1:05 hours, Kraus lost 3:6, 0:6.
Kraus now has to wait for her fourth final this year. So far, she has claimed one title: In July at the WTA 125 tournament in Kitzbühel.
In the live WTA world rankings, Kraus remains in 95th place – a few spots behind her career-high (rank 80).
