In the second set, however, the 3rd-seeded Austrian showed her class and leveled the match with a 6:1 set victory.
The decisive third set started suboptimally for the world No. 111. Julia Grabher fell behind but managed to fight her way back and ultimately decided the final set 6:4 in her favor.
Spaniard Awaits in Semifinals
With the 2:1 victory, Julia Grabher secured her spot in the semifinals, where second-seeded Spaniard Oksana Selekhmeteva awaits the 30-year-old Austrian.
