Darts: Major Tournament Coming to Austria in 2027
For the first time since 2021, a major event will be held again in Austria.
Good news for all darts fans!
The global darts federation PDC presented its new tournament calendar for 2027 on Friday. This also includes a new event in Austria.
From June 18th to 20th, Salzburg will host the European Open for the first time. The new major tournament will be held immediately after the World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt.
Last Major in 2021
The last major tournament held in Austria was the 2021 European Championship in Salzburg.
In recent years, Austria has otherwise only hosted the Austrian Darts Open, which are held in Graz. This event will also remain part of the calendar.
